Can Pump...

After I wrapped up recording of our parts for a demo for a The Love Experiment tune, we had some time to kill since Yeeyong had already left with his wife an hour before.

Weiyuan and I took out one of his WIP (work-in-progress) and tweaked it. I added a very crunchy rock riff to it. Ever since I've watched that A Perfect Circle YouTube video, I've been inspired to do a heavy rock song. This's probably it. Anyway, the tune is called 'Can Pump'. It's an in-joke which will take too long to explain.

Ian is coming over this Thursday to track 'Disco' which I'd probably be renaming it to 'Disco Sex'. The 2 Lard Brothers were out recce-ing venues last Thursday and we were at The National Museum (which rocks. You guys should check it out.) and heard an audio interview with veteran DJ Chris Ho. He mentioned that in the 70's till even the early 80's, the word 'sex' was banned from being spoken on radio. And strangely, 'disco' too. We've come a long way, baby.

The Lard Brothers is heading towards 5 complete songs already. We'd be streaming all the new songs on our MySpace page within the next month. 'Democracy' has a new mix which we'd be uploading that as well.

Interestingly, my DJ colleague was telling me that Fatboy Slim has remixed Chris Issak's 'Wicked Game'. Hmm... I wonder how it'd be like. Just waiting for him to send the mix to me.
